How to download satellite imagery that can produce Digital Elevation Model (DEM) using EarthData Platform

There are several satellite imagery that can produce Digital Elevation Models. The data comes from ranges of sources, such as ALOS PALSAR, Sentinel 1, SRTM.

Here are the steps.

  1. Open https://search.asf.alaska.edu/

2. Create an account or sign in if you already have an account. Point to the top right corner of the screen.

3. Go back to homepage. There are several options of source-image

a. Sentinel 1 : 2014-present

b. ALOS-PALSAR : 2006–2011

c. SIR-C (Beta) — 1994

d. S1 In-SAR (Beta) : 2014-present

e. SMAP : 2015-present

f. UAVSAR : 2008-present

g. RADARSAT-1 : 1996–2008

h. ERS: 1991–2011

i. JERS-1: 1992–1998

j. AIRSAR : 1990–2004

k. SEASAT : 1978
